When you drive into the canyon, you will notice the angle of the jagged rock formations twisted almost into horseshoe shapes from the evolution process from millions of years ago. Bald eagles soar through the air effortlessly as they hunt for game and fish in the river below. Deer are everywhere for your enjoyment. If you are lucky, you may spot an otter or a bear. They too are a part of this beautiful terrain. Located near by is the Seneca Rocks Recreation area with its trail to the top of Seneca Rocks, or if you like, ride to the top on horseback. Take some time and learn to mountain climb at the climbing school near Harper’s old country store. Also stop by and visit the Caverns at Seneca and Smokehole.
