Sunburst Point is a 4 bedroom/3 bathroom house located in the heart of the Smoky Mountains in western North Carolina. The original part of the house is a Circa 1870’s log cabin that was brought here from the Virginia mountains. In recent years, two bedrooms and two full baths have been added to the original house. The kitchen has been completely renovated as well. Sunburst Point has a large covered porch which can accommodate the whole family for casual outdoor dining while enjoying beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Bedrooms include a king master suite, a second king master suite, a queen bedroom and the fourth bedroom has two full bunk beds over a twin trundle plus a single twin. There is an additional hallway full bathroom. Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, Central A/C and dual zone heat, wood burning stove that is great for keeping the living room and kitchen area warm without the Central heat if you so choose, full size washer and dryer, wireless DSL internet access, satellite TV, outdoor campfire pit and charcoal grill.

Where did we get our name? Shortly after the 1800′s there was a drover’s Inn, on this location. With accommodations for travelers and drovers who were using the turnpike. A major route for moving cattle, hogs, turkeys and other commodities from Tennessee and Kentucky to markets in the south, such as Charleston. This location became know as Pleasant Bank Inn, also a loading point for Ottingers Ferry, crossing the river. The old turnpike road is still located were it was 200 years ago along the beautiful river. In this setting you can enjoy the quietness of the countryside and the French Broad River, which is used today for white water rafting in NC. You can often see wildlife such as deer, geese and turkeys, that will some times come into your front yard. We have two great lodging options and can comfortably sleep a total of 8 people. One cabin sleeps six and the other cabin is perfect for two.Today you can enjoy the farm and young orchard along with organic vegetables, and flowers being grown on the family farm. Briar Rose Farm is an old mountain farm nestled in the steep slopes of the southern Appalachian Mountains. We are 30 miles northwest of Asheville and 17 miles south of Hot Springs.
The Sweet Briar Cabin is nestled on an 89-acre farm. The cabin has one cozy bedroom complete with a queen bed. There is a sitting area under a covered deck right through the bedroom’s sliding doors. At the other end of the cabin, another sliding door leads you to the outdoor eating area and hot tub.

We are a small, family-run Bed & Breakfast-style Rustic Mountain Retreat, designed in the spirit of the Great Lodges of older times and ancient places, nestled deep in the mountains of Southern Appalachia along the North Carolina/ Tennessee border. The name Kana’ti is in honor of the first chief of the first people: The Cherokee and earlier Woodland tribes who, according to archaeological evidence, used this area for thousands of years as a hunting ground for Mammoth, Bison, Elk and Deer migrating up and down the Bald Mountain Ranges as the ice caps retreated northward. The lodge itself is constructed of mostly local materials, many of which were reclaimed from old cabins and barns around the Southern Appalachian region. Every part of the building tells a story – the passing age of tobacco in barn poles and hand-rived stakes, restored windows and doors from a local school, and flooring and siding harvested from our own land.

This home offers one level living for those that cannot climb steps and the entry is level with no steps.

The Blue Ridge Mountains offer many activities. Mountain biking, hiking, fishing, boating, bird watching, antiquing and much more. When you rent one of our cabins you will be in the best place to enjoy all the area has to offer.
Each of our Blue Ridge Mountain rental cabins have a fully equipped kitchen, microwave oven, coffee maker and toaster. Some kitchens also have a dishwasher and washer and dryer. Bed linens, bath towels, paper products and soaps are provided. All vacation cabins have heat, ceiling fans and all are air conditioned. Awesome Green River Log Cabin situated only a few feet off the Corp of Engineers property line on Richard B Russell Lake. Come enjoy our beautiful cabin in the woods with the added benefit of the lake being only a few hundred feet (3 minute walk) from the cabin via a marked walking trail. Your dog will be in heaven if you bring him/her along!
With only 400 square feet, it’s best for a couple or single family, but sleeps up to 8. There are queen mattresses in the master bedroom, upstairs loft, and a queen pullout couch. There are also two built-in twin bunk beds. Upgraded kitchen with granite, stainless appliances, coffee maker, toaster, and microwave. Full bathroom with shower/tub. Large screened porch with a ceiling fan and room to relax, as well. We recently added a huge covered porch for added enjoyment outdoors.

However, “secluded mountain cabin” doesn’t mean bare necessities. The Serenity Falls vacation rental cabin has all the modern conveniences you’ve come to expect.
