Rabun River Cabins is a rustic retreat, with all the comforts of home.  We feature two cabins on the river, each with a mountain theme.  Seen below are the Black Bear and Rainbow Trout Cabins, located on the Tallulah River.  These cabins feature privacy, river views, and easy access to numerous activities in the North Georgia Mountains. 

Our cabin feels rustic nestled in a dell in Betty’s Creek Valley. Entirely made of logs, cathedral ceiling, wood floors throughout and the walls are mostly wood. You will also quickly notice the luxurious touches that make this cabin steps above the average vacation rental. Enjoy the cabin’s exquisite décor and wonderful antiques. This is the getaway you’ve dreamed of. Get up early and enjoy morning coffee outside on your porch looking at nature at its best or take a walk down to Betty’s Creek, offering some of the purest water in North Georgia. Or sleep late in the comfy, handcrafted beds and enjoy Beechwood Inn’s 600 thread count sheets. Maximum Occupancy – 4. Children 12 or over are comfortable at our cabin. Our WATERFALL COTTAGE is within sight and sound of the iconic Cane Creek Falls. It is a 2BR/2BA getaway in a very special, unique location. It is located 5 miles from the lodge and is NOT part of the B and B. It is only 5 minutes from the town square. Two night minimum stay is required.

This vacation rental is a 2BR/2BA cottage located in the very unique and special, gated location within sight and sound of the iconic Cane Creek Falls. The Waterfall Cottage is the second one downstream of the falls. A large screened porch with dining table and comfortable seating area and other viewing areas will give you the sense of really being with nature as the cottage is about fifty feet from Cane Creek. Lots on either side are vacant. It has two bedrooms with one king and one queen bed and two full baths, wood-burning fireplace (we supply the initial wood), free WiFi, Smart TV, DVD player & DVDs, land-line phone with unlimited USA long distance (cell service is spotty), and a lower covered deck with porch swing. Breakfast is not provided, but we do provide coffee and all the basic needs for cooking. We provide camp chairs for you to use to sit by the falls. Cane Creek is a designated trout stream now open year-round, and you must have a valid license to fish. We use the Waterfall Cottage as our own get-away when not rented and thoroughly enjoy spending time there. There are hiking trails starting at the property line, and you can also check out http://www.hikedahlonega.com . The falls area is rich in history as a Native American gathering place with netting holes and petroglyphs etched in the rocks by the falls.

The TREE TOP ROOM is a 1BR/1BA wing of the owner’s home, but is very private with lots of deck and screened or sun room porch space perched in the trees. This unit includes maid service and breakfast at the lodge. Seasonal views and a nice view of our ponds. Weekends from mid-September to December 31st and some festivals & holidays require a two-night minimum stay.

This room is located in the North wing of the owner’s home on a lot adjacent to the lodge (not the same building as the B&B – short drive or walk ) with a large private deck and private screened-in porch (glassed-in with electric heater November through May to be used as a sun room) overlooking both Big Spring and Little Spring Trout Ponds. You will hear the cascading waterfall that empties into the nearby Little Spring Pond. Access is via a stairway leading from a private parking spot. Amenities include free WiFi, flat screen TV with Direct TV service, separate heat and air conditioning, maid service, mini fridge, microwave, iron & ironing board and coffee maker (organic, free-trade coffee provided). The bath room has a shower, lighted shaving / make-up mirror and vessel sink. Breakfast at the B and B is included. This room, decks and surrounding areas are NON-SMOKING. No pets are allowed, and the maximum capacity is two people. Catch & release fishing can be enjoyed in our Big Pond and walking trails are throughout our 14 acres.

Park your car and walk to town. Finished in the late summer of 2009, this is one of the newest luxury cabins in Helen. For about the same price as a motel suite, you get 2 big bedrooms, living/dining rooms, full kitchen, washer & dryer and two jetted bathtubs. Best of all, you get the privacy and quiet a motel room could never offer. Each bedroom has one queen sized bed and there is a sleeper sofa in the living room, accommodating a total of 6 people. The fully equipped kitchen has solid surface countertops & ceramic tile floors, microwave, and dishwasher. Make Helen Riverside Cabin your luxury ‘base camp’ for exploring all of Northeast Georgia.

What’s in the cabin.: All cooking utensils and linens are provided. All furniture and appliances are brand new. There are jetted bath tubs in each bath with a two person jetted tub in the downstairs bath. The floors in the baths are also ceramic tile. Towels and linens are provided. There is 32′ flat screen TV w DVD player in the living room and a 22′ flat screen TV w DVD player upstairs. Free WiFi service is available.The owners live in Helen, so if there are any problems, we’ll be there to make it right.

Awesome Green River Log Cabin situated only a few feet off the Corp of Engineers property line on Richard B Russell Lake. Come enjoy our beautiful cabin in the woods with the added benefit of the lake being only a few hundred feet (3 minute walk) from the cabin via a marked walking trail. With only 400 square feet, it’s best for a couple or single family, but sleeps up to 8. There are queen mattresses in the master bedroom, upstairs loft, and a queen pullout couch. There are also two built-in twin bunk beds. Upgraded kitchen with granite, stainless appliances, coffee maker, toaster, and microwave. Full bathroom with shower/tub. Large screened porch with a ceiling fan and room to relax, as well. We recently added a huge covered porch for added enjoyment outdoors.

There’s gold in them thar hills! Historic Dahlonega, Georgia, gateway to the Appalachian Mountains, is the site of the first major U.S. gold rush. Come pan for gold in the Chestatee river. This large home is located directly on the Chestatee just before the Coppermines. It was recently renovated, and is ready for eager treasure hunters and vacationers. We have central heating and air with a ductless air conditioning system in the honeymoon suite on the top floor and we continue to make improvements each year to ensure our guests have a great experience!

This warm, inviting home on the river was built in 1997. It has five bedrooms, three and a half baths, two great rooms, and two kitchens. All the rooms have high ceilings including the ground floor. If you like vaulted wood ceilings and the heavenly sound and view of the river just one hundred feet off the covered back deck, this is the place to spend your vacation.

The upstairs living space consists of two suites, each on a different floor with their own private bathrooms, a great room, a dining room, a full kitchen, a half bath, and a covered porch overlooking the river. The master bedroom on the main floor has a king size bed and a full private bathroom. The honeymoon suite upstairs has an Amish king-size bed, a daybed with a trundle, a sitting area, a vaulted wood ceiling, and a full private bathroom. Guests with bad knees or other disabilities can easily access the bedroom on the main floor (only two steps on the front porch). We also have a handicap shower/bathtub bench for the main floor master bathroom. The house is not handicap accessible although one previous guest with a wheelchair commented that she was able to get around the main floor just fine.

The terrace level (ground floor) has three bedrooms, a great room/kitchen combo, one full bathroom, and a patio under the main deck also overlooking the river. Two of the bedrooms have queen size beds. The third bedroom has two twin beds with a built-in loft for children. There is also a daybed with a trundle below in the great room so a total of nine guests can stay on the ground floor level.

In total there are two king beds, two queen beds, two twin beds with a built-in loft, two daybeds with trundle beds below, two roll out cots and two heavy duty camping cots.

The accommodations are perfect for two couples with children, large extended families, a girls, guys or couples retreat, wedding parties (we get a lot), family and company gatherings and wine tour groups. The upstairs living area is also quite cozy if you’re looking for more of a romantic getaway or have a smaller group. The main floor and upstairs suite has an old feel to it even though the house is relatively new and it has an open airy feeling with high ceilings and lots of natural light from the windows. Several rooms have antique dressers and gold accents. For our larger groups, there’s easily enough room to park up to eight vehicles.

One of our favorite activities at the house is roasting marshmallows in the fire pit by the river and relaxing in the hammock or around the picnic table. We also have a few outdoor games like badminton, volleyball, horseshoes, croquet, frisbee toss, and weighted yard dart toss, so you can play next to the river. For those rainy days we have several indoor games and puzzles, wireless internet, and four televisions with satellite, Netflix, & Pandora Radio.

Have you ever panned for gold? This house comes with several gold pans so your family and friends can come search for gold without ever leaving the property. At least two previous guests have found gold right on the property.

There are many fun things to do in and around Dahlonega including outdoor sports like kayaking, fishing, hiking, mountain biking and golf. There are also a lot of great vineyards (Cavender Creek, Wolf Mountain, Three Sisters, & Frogtown to name a few closeby), restaurants (Bourbon Street Grille is our favorite for dinner or brunch), antique shops, arts and crafts stores, wildlife preserves, and festivals to explore. The Smith House is a historic family style buffet worth visiting. Lake Lanier is also only 30 minutes south of Dahlonega in Cumming and Gainesville.
