Welcome to “A Touch of Luxury” located on the border of Mill Spring and Lake Lure. This is a custom-built, 1672 sq. ft., 2 BR/2BA log cabin, 15.9 miles from the Tryon International Equestrian Center, and only 1.5 miles from the Lake Lure Ingles grocery, gas station, pharmacy, and Red Box. Ingles is the only major grocery store in the area. Chimney Rock State Park is a 6.5 mile drive. The Beach at Lake Lure is 5.5 miles away.
This charming home is in a private, secluded setting, while still a short drive to the touristy attractions in Mill Spring, Chimney Rock, and Lake Lure. The cabin comes with the basic Directv channels. Free Wifi is also available. Please note that we have the fastest internet available in our area; however, due to the mountains, it is not conducive to streaming video, etc.
Main floor bedroom has King-size pillow top mattress, ceiling fan, and 32″ flat panel TV. Double closets have ample storage space. Standard full bath w/ tub/shower combo is directly across from this room.
Upstairs bedroom has Queen-size pillow top mattress, ceiling fan, 32″ flat panel TV, and ensuite bathroom. The bathroom has Jacuzzi tub and separate shower.
Living room has a 55 inch flat screen tv. There are two single floor mattresses for a 5th and 6th guest to use. Fifth and sixth guests are $15 each per night (no matter the age).
Kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, dishes, basics, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, etc.
The theater room has a 110 inch movie screen with ample seating and popcorn machine.
The 8 ft. covered, wrap around deck has gas grill, outdoor sound system, plenty of seating, a swinging bench, and spacious dining area. The property also includes a private waterfall, horseshoe pits, and miniature zipline for young kids.
Note: During the first freezing and last freezing of the year, the backyard waterfall amenity is exchanged for the indoor fireplace. Firewood for one evening fire per night is provided.

Dovetails is a clean, fully equipped log home conveniently located sixteen (16) miles from Asheville Regional Airport and just three (3) miles from US Hwy. I-26. Your reservation comes complete with fresh premium linens and towels, paper products, garbage service, firewood and basic toiletries. 100mbs Wi-Fi, DirecTv, and Netflix are all included with your stay.
Dovetails sleeps six (6) people comfortably. There are two (2) master suites, each at opposite ends of the home to provide optimum privacy. Each suite has an en-suite bath and private covered porch. Master one (#1) has a King size bed and Master two (#2) has two Queen size beds. There is also a pull out sofa with a Queen mattress in front of the wood burning fireplace.
Dovetails is equipped with 3 large TV’s, all with DirecTv and access to Netflix. The Wi-fi is wireless and 100mbs.
Bedrooms include large closets and dressers. Each suite has a TV, an alarm clock, bedside access to plug-in’s and USB charging ports. Each master suite is individually climate controlled for your comfort.
En-Suite bathrooms have double vanities with large mirrors, large tile showers and hair dryers. Makeup towels are provided in addition to regular bath towel sets. You will have access to extra towels and linens during your stay. Basic toiletries are provided.
The Kitchen is fully equipped with basic everyday cooking utensils and cutlery. There are storage containers for your convenience as well. A gas grill is available to use on the back deck. There are two sitting areas for dining. One six (6) person table inside and one six (6) person table outside on the back deck. You will have use of the front loading clothes washer and dryer, laundry supplies; as well as an iron and ironing board. Dovetails is stocked with basic cleaning and garbage supplies for your use.
Enjoy the wood burning fireplace or head outside to huddle around the outdoor fire kettle. Firewood is provided for your stay. Dovetails is on a one (1) acre lot surrounded by woods with a creek. The Village of Flat Rock is just 0.5 miles away and is connected to Dovetails by walking / biking trails. The Village has a movie cinema, coffee shop, BBQ shack and shops. The kitchen is fully equipped with a coffeemaker, ample cookware, glassware, and flatware. In addition to the spacious cabinets in the kitchen, there is a full pantry closet.
Off the hallway is the first level bedroom, furnished in a mission style, with a full-size bed, recliner, end tables and an armoire, as well as satellite TV. There is a full bathroom with a fully-stocked linen closet. All the flooring on this level is hardwood.

Sunburst Point is a 4 bedroom/3 bathroom house located in the heart of the Smoky Mountains in western North Carolina. The original part of the house is a Circa 1870’s log cabin that was brought here from the Virginia mountains. In recent years, two bedrooms and two full baths have been added to the original house. The kitchen has been completely renovated as well. Sunburst Point has a large covered porch which can accommodate the whole family for casual outdoor dining while enjoying beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Bedrooms include a king master suite, a second king master suite, a queen bedroom and the fourth bedroom has two full bunk beds over a twin trundle plus a single twin. There is an additional hallway full bathroom. Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, Central A/C and dual zone heat, wood burning stove that is great for keeping the living room and kitchen area warm without the Central heat if you so choose, full size washer and dryer, wireless DSL internet access, satellite TV, outdoor campfire pit and charcoal grill.

We currently have 4 cabins available! Two sleep 8 (3 queen beds and a couch that makes a bed), are wheelchair accessible, have a kitchen area with full size refrigerators. Two are part of a duplex, they are adjoining cabins through a communicating door. These two cabins have 2 queen bunks and two half bunks and a couch that makes a bed for a total of 8 persons. They have full kitchens with a stove and refrigerator. There is a large parking area to accommodate trucks with large trailers. They are located in the Matoaka, West Virginia area. There is a community connector in Matoaka that takes you to the Hatfield and McCoy trails. You can also easily access outlaw trails from our location. There are local amenities such as car wash and a gas station that can be accessed from your ATV. We are also about a 20 minute vehicle drive from Princeton, West Virginia, where you can find plenty places to eat or shop. Our cabins are reasonably priced at $65.00 a night for the two cabins with wheelchair accommodations and 80.00 a night each for the cabins in the duplex.
The ride: There are paved roads that you will have to hit to access some of the trails, but most still come with great views! The town of Matoaka is an ATV friendly town so there is no issues with hitting the main road to access the outlaw trails or the Hatfield and McCoy community connector. Welcome to “A Touch of Luxury” located on the border of Mill Spring and Lake Lure. This is a custom-built, 1672 sq. ft., 2 BR/2BA log cabin, 15.9 miles from the Tryon International Equestrian Center, and only 1.5 miles from the Lake Lure Ingles grocery, gas station, pharmacy, and Red Box. Ingles is the only major grocery store in the area. Chimney Rock State Park is a 6.5 mile drive. The Beach at Lake Lure is 5.5 miles away.
This charming home is in a private, secluded setting, while still a short drive to the touristy attractions in Mill Spring, Chimney Rock, and Lake Lure. The cabin comes with the basic Directv channels. Free Wifi is also available. Please note that we have the fastest internet available in our area; however, due to the mountains, it is not conducive to streaming video, etc.
Main floor bedroom has King-size pillow top mattress, ceiling fan, and 32″ flat panel TV. Double closets have ample storage space. Standard full bath w/ tub/shower combo is directly across from this room.
Upstairs bedroom has Queen-size pillow top mattress, ceiling fan, 32″ flat panel TV, and ensuite bathroom. The bathroom has Jacuzzi tub and separate shower.
Living room has a 55 inch flat screen tv. There are two single floor mattresses for a 5th and 6th guest to use. Fifth and sixth guests are $15 each per night (no matter the age).
Kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, dishes, basics, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, etc.
The theater room has a 110 inch movie screen with ample seating and popcorn machine.
The 8 ft. covered, wrap around deck has gas grill, outdoor sound system, plenty of seating, a swinging bench, and spacious dining area. The property also includes a private waterfall, horseshoe pits, and miniature zipline for young kids.
Note: During the first freezing and last freezing of the year, the backyard waterfall amenity is exchanged for the indoor fireplace. Firewood for one evening fire per night is provided.

On the first level is a furnished living room with vaulted ceilings and a river rock face fireplace. Adjacent to the living room is the dining area, with a long country table with four chairs and a bench it seats seven. The kitchen is fully equipped with a coffeemaker, ample cookware, glassware, and flatware. In addition to the spacious cabinets in the kitchen, there is a full pantry closet.
Off the hallway is the first level bedroom, furnished in a mission style, with a full-size bed, recliner, end tables and an armoire, as well as satellite TV. There is a full bathroom with a fully-stocked linen closet. All the flooring on this level is hardwood.
Off the living room is a staircase leading to the second level – a large carpeted loft with a queen-size sleeper sofa, end tables/lamps, large coffee table, game table, satellite TV/DVR, and two chairs. Adjacent to the loft is a large carpeted master bedroom with a beautiful oak bedroom suite (queen-size bed), large walk-in closet and full bathroom.
On the ground level is a bedroom/den with a double bed, office area, washer/dryer and a full bathroom.

Satellite televisions on the main floor are provided in the master bedroom and kitchen. We are a small, family-run Bed & Breakfast-style Rustic Mountain Retreat, designed in the spirit of the Great Lodges of older times and ancient places, nestled deep in the mountains of Southern Appalachia along the North Carolina/ Tennessee border. The name Kana’ti is in honor of the first chief of the first people: The Cherokee and earlier Woodland tribes who, according to archaeological evidence, used this area for thousands of years as a hunting ground for Mammoth, Bison, Elk and Deer migrating up and down the Bald Mountain Ranges as the ice caps retreated northward. The large crown moldings and Dutch baroque chandelier provide an old world charm. It is furnished throughout with antique furniture including part of our antique picture frame collection. There is also satellite television. The floors are tile and covered with oriental area rugs. Fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and mahogany cabinets. The bedroom is furnished with my grandmother’s bedroom furniture and a Simmons queen size Beauty rest mattress for a restful night’s sleep. The doggie traveler isn’t forgotten either, there is a cushy doggie bed too! At the end of the day take a soothing bath in the whirlpool tub and enjoy the sunset from the romantic deck with a view of horses peacefully grazing. You can also see the main house across the pasture. The atmosphere is so serene you feel as though you have left civilization behind, but are only minutes from downtown Landrum and Tryon. This area is in the middle of North and South Carolina’s horse country. We have many different different kinds of horses on the farm. A Percheron French Draft Horse, Paint Horses, Quarter Horses and our 30+ year old Racking Horse.
The first step across the threshold always takes guests by surprise. Laurel Cottage, is our pet-friendly B&B, was named after our youngest son’s first horse, has marvelous large crown moldings and a Dutch baroque chandelier to create an elegant atmosphere. On your first step outside the door of Laurel Cottage you are greeted with sweeping views of the pastures and the main house. The atmosphere is so serene you feel as though you have left the pressures of the modern world behind you, but you are only minutes from downtown Landrum and Tryon.
The bedroom furniture is part of my grandmother’s bedroom set. There is a queen size Simmons Beauty rest mattress for a restful night’s sleep as well as a very cushy doggie bed. The living room has a satellite television as well as a Simmons Hide-a-Bed for that extra guest. Why stay at a dog-friendly hotel when you can stay at Laurel Cottage?
