We hope you’ll join us in one of our beautiful cabins located in the heart of the North Georgia Mountains

Blue Ridge and Ellijay, Georgia bring you back to a simpler time. Small towns with a relaxed down home feel in the heart of the North Georgia Mountains. A relaxed, friendly place to get together with family and friends. The area is filled with outdoor activities including hiking, biking, white water rafting, kayaking, tubing, horse back riding, zip lining, helicopter rides, fishing, shops, train rides, apple harvests, mom and pop restaurants and even and occasional rodeo! There are plenty of things to do or if you prefer to get away from the hustle and bustle… just grill at your cabin and enjoy a relaxing dip in the hot tub.

Kay’s is culmination of years of experience. Over time, we discovered a simple, quiet way to operate a cabin business. You won’t find the hustle and bustle of a cabin business with over 50 cabins and no personalized service… you will find that we never handle more than 8 cabins and our goal is to eliminate any hidden surprises. We appreciate the simple things… the sounds of nature, the warmth of a fire, a good book on a quiet porch. If you prefer a simpler time… you’ve found your home away from home… Kay’s.

We are a small, family-run Bed & Breakfast-style Rustic Mountain Retreat, designed in the spirit of the Great Lodges of older times and ancient places, nestled deep in the mountains of Southern Appalachia along the North Carolina/ Tennessee border. The name Kana’ti is in honor of the first chief of the first people: The Cherokee and earlier Woodland tribes who, according to archaeological evidence, used this area for thousands of years as a hunting ground for Mammoth, Bison, Elk and Deer migrating up and down the Bald Mountain Ranges as the ice caps retreated northward. The lodge itself is constructed of mostly local materials, many of which were reclaimed from old cabins and barns around the Southern Appalachian region. Every part of the building tells a story – the passing age of tobacco in barn poles and hand-rived stakes, restored windows and doors from a local school, and flooring and siding harvested from our own land.

4808 Colony Dr SE, Acworth, GA 30102, USA 77.52 mi

This house has by far one of the best views of Lake Allatoona in North Georgia. It sits close to the water with 200’+ of water frontage. A large 700 square foot dock with lights and swimming ladder awaits. We are just 7 mi. from LakePoint Sports and 35mi from downtown Atlanta!

The house has had 2 remodels since its purchase in 2008. Families will enjoy the cabin feel of the upstairs and kids will love the huge remodeled basement with plenty of space to keep them occupied when they’re not outside. The kitchen has new granite counter tops throughout and new stainless steel appliances. Our most recent remodel extended the house toward the lake and has a very large space for relaxing with a book or entertaining with your family. The house faces the water through double pane glass from one end of the house to the other. Two sets of double french doors pass through to the deck.

There are three decks all together. The main deck spans the length of the house and has a remote controlled 25′ SunSetter when shade is preferred. There is a concrete patio a short walk down by the water and a third deck overlooking the side yard where the flat grassy area becomes a great place for playing games or sunbathing. The acre of property is fenced in and is buffered by acres of land on each side insuring privacy.

Convenient to I-75, the house offers easy access to local attractions (Braves, Lake Point Sporting Complex (see links for more info), Golf, and Shopping). Downtown Acworth is just a few miles away and has a wonderful selection of restaurants and night life.

The house has three bedrooms (Queens) on the main level and on the lower level is a fourth bedroom (Queen) and a bonus room with a Queen bed & a bunk bed (twin on top/double on bottom). Bunks are mostly ideal for kids.

You can enjoy the lake view from any number of sitting and sunbathing areas around the outside of the house including several decks/patios.

Lake Allatoona is a Corps of Engineers controlled lake. Unlike many properties on the lake we enjoy year-round water under our dock.

Contact me directly with any questions about the property or the surrounding area. We are here to help you create your own great memories out on the lake!

Located on the side of Lookout Mountain, just minutes away from downtown Chattanooga, Treetop Hideaways is a boutique treehouse hotel, providing a nostalgic experience resting comfortably in the treetops. Our old growth forest on the side of Lookout Mountain just below Rock City provides visitors with the beauty of nature and a quick drive to any of the nearby attractions. Our desire is that you leave feeling rested, renewed, and energized.

Our goal at Treetop Hideaways is to create comfortable spaces that encourage rest while highlighting the surrounding forest to our visitors. We have been inspired by everything from the classic treehouses we built as kids, to modern architectural designs and tiny house trends, and are using both the latest green technology and some fun crazy inventions as well. We hope to weave all these concepts together into an engaging and cohesive space that provides rest, relaxation, and inspiration.

As much as possible, we have tried to use reclaimed material. We’ve sourced beams and massive windows from local industrial sites, and beautifully aged wood from an 1860’s barn. While we love the old materials, we also want to provide a comfortable year-round experience, so we’ve selectively integrated some of the latest technology to help build a well insulated shell that keeps the wind out and the heat in. To develop the most efficient and sustainable systems, we’ve worked with some of the best partners in the industry, including Greenspaces, EPB, Greenwood Engineering, Palmer Built Environments, Timberline Tree Care, and others. Thanks to this team of experts, we’ve been able to confidently select the strongest trees, build dynamic systems that work with the natural tree growth and sway, and integrate water and energy systems that provide full amenities without negatively effecting the environment. We look forward to sharing our rustic and refined retreat with you, and hope that you enjoy the experience as much as we did in preparing it for you!

Western North Carolina has always been my home! I’m familiar with these mountains and the diverse real estate market of this area. I grew up between Burnsville, NC and Mars Hill, NC. In 2005, I graduated with a degree in Dental Hygiene. With many years of working in direct patient care under my belt, I learned a thing or two about customer service! And, I thoroughly enjoy getting to know folks. My mission has always been to make my patients feel at home, at ease, well-informed, and well taken care of; I believe those qualities transfer over into how I treat my clients. My client’s best interests and satisfaction are my top priority. And I truly mean that! Simply put, I treat folks how I want to be treated! And I would love to help you call Burnsville, NC, Mars Hill, NC, or nearby “home”, too.

463 Hidden Hollow Lane, Chickamauga, GA 30707 88.9 mi

HIDDEN HOLLOW – A small secluded resort …for the PERFECT.. WEDDING, or  GATHERING of family, friends or co-workers,
or just to GETAWAY and rest, relax and rejoice!

Hidden Hollow is in the southern Appalachians and is a part of McLemore Cove, which is included on the National Historic Register. It is 135 mostly wooded acres of seclusion at the foot of, and on the side of, Lookout Mountain, 20 miles from downtown Chattanooga. The five-acre lake is spring fed with a small creek bordering the property. Special on-site interests (besides the many tourist attractions in the nearby areas) are the Cherokee Indian heritage, the Civil War happenings, remnants of old moonshine stills, and varied outdoor games.

We like to think of our place as the place you always wanted for the “perfect wedding’; as a ‘gathering place’, to build community; and as a “getaway,” a retreat from the tensions, noises, and rush of today’s lifestyles. We encourage our guests to take advantage of Hidden Hollow’s peace and quiet and relive the days when families and friends sat on the porches and visited, played horseshoes, croquet, etc. on the lawns, paddled the canoes or kayaks around the lake or fish from its banks.

We create a special atmosphere here for guests who, upon arriving recognize that this is indeed ‘a special place’. A place where people sense the spiritual peace of the place. Where they feel more connected with  family and friends with whom they are experiencing the place. A place where upon returning from various day trips, are ready for relaxing with a moonlight walk, or a sing-along and marshmallow roast around a country campfire. Although the cabins are built in a rustic style (some log, some frame), they do provide a comfortable respite. A wonderful place to make memories with your family and friends as you reflect on cherished traditions and create new ones here in this peaceful spot.

Please remember that you are visiting the country, and you must be aware that, as in most any “rural” place, there may be chiggers, no-see-ums, crawling things, etc. For your continued enjoyment, be sure you take the proper precautions. Please remember, there are hazards associated with such country places and you are responsible for your own welfare and that of any children who accompany you.
