They say all trolleys lead to the Aquarium of the Smokies ~ located in the heart of Gatlinburg ~ so park your car and hop on a trolley for the easiest and cheapest way to tour around the sights, including the Glades Arts and Crafts area. This is a custom-built, 1672 sq. ft., 2 BR/2BA log cabin, 15.9 miles from the Tryon International Equestrian Center, and only 1.5 miles from the Lake Lure Ingles grocery, gas station, pharmacy, and Red Box. Ingles is the only major grocery store in the area. Chimney Rock State Park is a 6.5 mile drive. The Beach at Lake Lure is 5.5 miles away.
This charming home is in a private, secluded setting, while still a short drive to the touristy attractions in Mill Spring, Chimney Rock, and Lake Lure. The cabin comes with the basic Directv channels. Free Wifi is also available. Please note that we have the fastest internet available in our area; however, due to the mountains, it is not conducive to streaming video, etc.

This vacation rental is a 2BR/2BA cottage located in the very unique and special, gated location within sight and sound of the iconic Cane Creek Falls. The Waterfall Cottage is the second one downstream of the falls. A large screened porch with dining table and comfortable seating area and other viewing areas will give you the sense of really being with nature as the cottage is about fifty feet from Cane Creek. Lots on either side are vacant. It has two bedrooms with one king and one queen bed and two full baths, wood-burning fireplace (we supply the initial wood), free WiFi, Smart TV, DVD player & DVDs, land-line phone with unlimited USA long distance (cell service is spotty), and a lower covered deck with porch swing. Breakfast is not provided, but we do provide coffee and all the basic needs for cooking. We provide camp chairs for you to use to sit by the falls. Cane Creek is a designated trout stream now open year-round, and you must have a valid license to fish. We use the Waterfall Cottage as our own get-away when not rented and thoroughly enjoy spending time there. There are hiking trails starting at the property line, and you can also check out http://www.hikedahlonega.com . The falls area is rich in history as a Native American gathering place with netting holes and petroglyphs etched in the rocks by the falls.
The TREE TOP ROOM is a 1BR/1BA wing of the owner’s home, but is very private with lots of deck and screened or sun room porch space perched in the trees. This unit includes maid service and breakfast at the lodge. Seasonal views and a nice view of our ponds. Weekends from mid-September to December 31st and some festivals & holidays require a two-night minimum stay.
This room is located in the North wing of the owner’s home on a lot adjacent to the lodge (not the same building as the B&B – short drive or walk ) with a large private deck and private screened-in porch (glassed-in with electric heater November through May to be used as a sun room) overlooking both Big Spring and Little Spring Trout Ponds. You will hear the cascading waterfall that empties into the nearby Little Spring Pond. Access is via a stairway leading from a private parking spot. Amenities include free WiFi, flat screen TV with Direct TV service, separate heat and air conditioning, maid service, mini fridge, microwave, iron & ironing board and coffee maker (organic, free-trade coffee provided). The bath room has a shower, lighted shaving / make-up mirror and vessel sink. Breakfast at the B and B is included. This room, decks and surrounding areas are NON-SMOKING. No pets are allowed, and the maximum capacity is two people. Catch & release fishing can be enjoyed in our Big Pond and walking trails are throughout our 14 acres.

There’s gold in them thar hills! Historic Dahlonega, Georgia, gateway to the Appalachian Mountains, is the site of the first major U.S. gold rush. Come pan for gold in the Chestatee river. This large home is located directly on the Chestatee just before the Coppermines. It was recently renovated, and is ready for eager treasure hunters and vacationers. We have central heating and air with a ductless air conditioning system in the honeymoon suite on the top floor and we continue to make improvements each year to ensure our guests have a great experience!
This warm, inviting home on the river was built in 1997. It has five bedrooms, three and a half baths, two great rooms, and two kitchens. All the rooms have high ceilings including the ground floor. If you like vaulted wood ceilings and the heavenly sound and view of the river just one hundred feet off the covered back deck, this is the place to spend your vacation.
The upstairs living space consists of two suites, each on a different floor with their own private bathrooms, a great room, a dining room, a full kitchen, a half bath, and a covered porch overlooking the river. The master bedroom on the main floor has a king size bed and a full private bathroom. The honeymoon suite upstairs has an Amish king-size bed, a daybed with a trundle, a sitting area, a vaulted wood ceiling, and a full private bathroom. Guests with bad knees or other disabilities can easily access the bedroom on the main floor (only two steps on the front porch). We also have a handicap shower/bathtub bench for the main floor master bathroom. The house is not handicap accessible although one previous guest with a wheelchair commented that she was able to get around the main floor just fine.
The terrace level (ground floor) has three bedrooms, a great room/kitchen combo, one full bathroom, and a patio under the main deck also overlooking the river. Two of the bedrooms have queen size beds. The third bedroom has two twin beds with a built-in loft for children. There is also a daybed with a trundle below in the great room so a total of nine guests can stay on the ground floor level.
In total there are two king beds, two queen beds, two twin beds with a built-in loft, two daybeds with trundle beds below, two roll out cots and two heavy duty camping cots.
The accommodations are perfect for two couples with children, large extended families, a girls, guys or couples retreat, wedding parties (we get a lot), family and company gatherings and wine tour groups. The upstairs living area is also quite cozy if you’re looking for more of a romantic getaway or have a smaller group. The main floor and upstairs suite has an old feel to it even though the house is relatively new and it has an open airy feeling with high ceilings and lots of natural light from the windows. Several rooms have antique dressers and gold accents. For our larger groups, there’s easily enough room to park up to eight vehicles.
One of our favorite activities at the house is roasting marshmallows in the fire pit by the river and relaxing in the hammock or around the picnic table. We also have a few outdoor games like badminton, volleyball, horseshoes, croquet, frisbee toss, and weighted yard dart toss, so you can play next to the river. For those rainy days we have several indoor games and puzzles, wireless internet, and four televisions with satellite, Netflix, & Pandora Radio.
Have you ever panned for gold? This house comes with several gold pans so your family and friends can come search for gold without ever leaving the property. At least two previous guests have found gold right on the property.
There are many fun things to do in and around Dahlonega including outdoor sports like kayaking, fishing, hiking, mountain biking and golf. There are also a lot of great vineyards (Cavender Creek, Wolf Mountain, Three Sisters, & Frogtown to name a few closeby), restaurants (Bourbon Street Grille is our favorite for dinner or brunch), antique shops, arts and crafts stores, wildlife preserves, and festivals to explore. The Smith House is a historic family style buffet worth visiting. Lake Lanier is also only 30 minutes south of Dahlonega in Cumming and Gainesville.

The bedroom is furnished with my grandmother’s bedroom furniture and a Simmons queen size Beauty rest mattress for a restful night’s sleep. The doggie traveler isn’t forgotten either, there is a cushy doggie bed too! At the end of the day take a soothing bath in the whirlpool tub and enjoy the sunset from the romantic deck with a view of horses peacefully grazing. You can also see the main house across the pasture. The atmosphere is so serene you feel as though you have left civilization behind, but are only minutes from downtown Landrum and Tryon. This area is in the middle of North and South Carolina’s horse country. We have many different different kinds of horses on the farm. A Percheron French Draft Horse, Paint Horses, Quarter Horses and our 30+ year old Racking Horse.
The first step across the threshold always takes guests by surprise. Laurel Cottage, is our pet-friendly B&B, was named after our youngest son’s first horse, has marvelous large crown moldings and a Dutch baroque chandelier to create an elegant atmosphere. It is tastefully decorated with antique furniture and part of our antique picture frame collection. There is also satellite television. The floors are all tile and covered with oriental area rugs.
The kitchen has mahogany cabinets and is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and a charming pasture view. The whirlpool tub in the spacious bathroom adds an additional touch of luxury. On your first step outside the door of Laurel Cottage you are greeted with sweeping views of the pastures and the main house. The atmosphere is so serene you feel as though you have left the pressures of the modern world behind you, but you are only minutes from downtown Landrum and Tryon.

On the first level is a furnished living room with vaulted ceilings and a river rock face fireplace. Adjacent to the living room is the dining area, with a long country table with four chairs and a bench it seats seven. The kitchen is fully equipped with a coffeemaker, ample cookware, glassware, and flatware. In addition to the spacious cabinets in the kitchen, there is a full pantry closet.
Off the hallway is the first level bedroom, furnished in a mission style, with a full-size bed, recliner, end tables and an armoire, as well as satellite TV. There is a full bathroom with a fully-stocked linen closet. All the flooring on this level is hardwood.
Off the living room is a staircase leading to the second level – a large carpeted loft with a queen-size sleeper sofa, end tables/lamps, large coffee table, game table, satellite TV/DVR, and two chairs. Near the Creek vacation rental properties is a family owned business. We bought the first home in 2005 and in the next 4 years we bought 6 more houses. We recently sold 3 houses. Now there is a total of 4 vacation homes to choose from, each with their own unique style.
All of the houses are in the Riverpointe subdivision less than one mile from the parkway in Pigeon Forge. They are all within walking distance of each other for those of you who might need more than one house, The neighborhood is beautiful, quiet and safe. there is a walking trail by the river. Lovely for an evening stroll after a long day of amusement parks or shopping.

At Cast-A-Way Cabins, anglers can store their boat or truck in a 18wx40Lx14H locked facility w/battery charging port. Broyle’s Landing is only 1/4 mile away, Portman Marina 2.9 miles away & Green Pond Landing is just 5.2 miles away.We are also only 15 mi. from Clemson,SC. Full fridge, sink,microwave,toaster oven,full size sofa,Cable/AppleTV,WIFI, full bed & twin bunk,full bath,16×16 covered patio w/2 picnic tables,TV,gas grill,fire pit,comm. size sink. Fenced property w/locking gate.
Our cabin is custom built, rustic, but very cozy! Although we are not located right on the water, the nearest boat landing, Broyle’s, is located just right around the corner (1/4 mile) and Green Pond Landing is just 5 miles away! If you are a Clemson Tigers fan, Clemson, SC is only 15 miles away! Double bed with twin bunk. The full sized sofa could sleep one also if needed, although it is not a pull out sofa. Kitchenette has a full refrigerator, microwave and toaster oven. Covered patio with TV, gas grill and commercial sized sink. 18×40 boat or truck storage building.
Reservations: Rates vary from $115-$125 per night, plus 12% local and state taxes. For each additional person over double occupancy, add $15/per night, per person.

Cabana Suite- $115/night, double occupancy
Complementary full breakfast every morning of your stay.
Guest House Policies:
A deposit of one night’s stay is required.
We do not accept credit cards.
We accept cash, personal checks, and travelers’ checks.
Cancellation within 48 hours of your scheduled arrival will result in a complete refund.
We have cats, four at last count. With that in mind, we will only accept small, well behaved pets if prior arrangements are made .
Smoking is permitted outside only.
Unfortunately Heron Cove Guest house is not set up to accommodate children under the age of 14 years.
There are two cabins on the property available for vacation rental, the Falls View Cabin with three bedrooms and Emersons Cabin with two bedrooms.
