Ladybug Cottage, our dog-friendly B&B, was named after our twenty seven year old Quarter Horse that I still ride, has French doors that lead to a spacious covered deck that overlooks one of the horse pastures. The large crown moldings and Dutch baroque chandelier provide an old world charm. It is furnished throughout with antique furniture including part of our antique picture frame collection. There is also satellite television. The floors are tile and covered with oriental area rugs. Fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and mahogany cabinets. The bedroom is furnished with my grandmother’s bedroom furniture and a Simmons queen size Beauty rest mattress for a restful night’s sleep. The doggie traveler isn’t forgotten either, there is a cushy doggie bed too! At the end of the day take a soothing bath in the whirlpool tub and enjoy the sunset from the romantic deck with a view of horses peacefully grazing. You can also see the main house across the pasture. The atmosphere is so serene you feel as though you have left civilization behind, but are only minutes from downtown Landrum and Tryon. This area is in the middle of North and South Carolina’s horse country. We have many different different kinds of horses on the farm. A Percheron French Draft Horse, Paint Horses, Quarter Horses and our 30+ year old Racking Horse.
The first step across the threshold always takes guests by surprise. Laurel Cottage, is our pet-friendly B&B, was named after our youngest son’s first horse, has marvelous large crown moldings and a Dutch baroque chandelier to create an elegant atmosphere. The kitchen has mahogany cabinets and is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and a charming pasture view. The whirlpool tub in the spacious bathroom adds an additional touch of luxury. On your first step outside the door of Laurel Cottage you are greeted with sweeping views of the pastures and the main house. The atmosphere is so serene you feel as though you have left the pressures of the modern world behind you, but you are only minutes from downtown Landrum and Tryon.
The bedroom furniture is part of my grandmother’s bedroom set. There is a queen size Simmons Beauty rest mattress for a restful night’s sleep as well as a very cushy doggie bed. The living room has a satellite television as well as a Simmons Hide-a-Bed for that extra guest. Why stay at a dog-friendly hotel when you can stay at Laurel Cottage?
Located within walking distance of Wildwater Chattooga, this timber frame house has 3 bedrooms with Queen beds and a loft with 2 single beds, sleeps up to 8. Jawbone, (named after “Jawbone” rapid in the famous Five Falls of the Chattooga River Section 4) is perfect for 3 couples or multiple families with kids. Jawbone has a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite counters, 2 bathrooms, washer/dryer, gas fireplace, 3 flat screen TVs with DirecTV, covered outdoor deck, covered front porch and patio with outdoor propane grill. All linens included. Add nearby Corkscrew house if your group has more than 8 Guests. Combined, Corkscrew and Jawbone can accommodate up to 20 Guests.
Jawbone was built with the environment in mind. Superior insulation for a quiet stay, efficient heating and cooling, on demand water heater, fluorescent bulbs used throughout, and the use of environmentally-safe cleaning products are some of the steps we have taken. We also integrated trees leveled from the building site into the construction of the house.

From guided canoe trips to whitewater rafting to zip-lining and an informative hike along the AT, our mountain experience was top-notch. The main floor has a nice large living room for everyone to enjoy watching TV and relaxing as well as a 6 seat dining table with eating at the bar in the kitchen. Also, enjoy the outdoor dining area with views and sounds of the Chattahoochee River. Upstairs has two large king bedrooms with ROKU TV and the Master bedroom has a balcony overlooking the river and a beautiful jetted tub in the master bathroom to relax after a long day’s hike! Downstairs has your third king bedroom and full bath that walk right out the hot tub at the river level! An 8ft Slate Pool Table in the basement rounds off a fun evening.

Park your car and walk to town. Finished in the late summer of 2009, this is one of the newest luxury cabins in Helen. For about the same price as a motel suite, you get 2 big bedrooms, living/dining rooms, full kitchen, washer & dryer and two jetted bathtubs. Best of all, you get the privacy and quiet a motel room could never offer. Each bedroom has one queen sized bed and there is a sleeper sofa in the living room, accommodating a total of 6 people. The fully equipped kitchen has solid surface countertops & ceramic tile floors, microwave, and dishwasher. Make Helen Riverside Cabin your luxury ‘base camp’ for exploring all of Northeast Georgia.
What’s in the cabin.: All cooking utensils and linens are provided. All furniture and appliances are brand new. There are jetted bath tubs in each bath with a two person jetted tub in the downstairs bath. The floors in the baths are also ceramic tile. Towels and linens are provided. There is 32′ flat screen TV w DVD player in the living room and a 22′ flat screen TV w DVD player upstairs. Free WiFi service is available.The owners live in Helen, so if there are any problems, we’ll be there to make it right.

We have eight units on 2.5 acres and two Luxury cabins at the foot hills of the Blue Ridge mountains and only five minutes from beautiful down town Alpine Helen. HeathBrooke Cabin is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home in Seven Devils, NC – just off NC Hwy. 105 between Boone and Linville, near Banner Elk. 1 King & 2 Queen beds, plus 2 Twins in the loft mean this home can accommodate 5 to 8 people. A well-stocked kitchen, large stone fireplace & spacious front porch are highlights.
After an easy drive up to Seven Devils, HeathBrooke greets visitors with a large front-and-side porch just above 3,700 feet in elevation. Depending on the season, beautiful sunrises can be seen from the front porch or from the front windows. Enjoy the outdoor fire pit year round.
The cabin is well-furnished with furniture and decor that will make you feel at home. It is not a cookie-cutter log cabin, but instead an updated mountain farm house.
A strong WiFi signal reaches every room and out onto the porch. Televisions in the living room, each bedroom and the loft have reliable cable with an expanded channel lineup (much more than basic channels). The large screen TV in the living room is also a smart TV, which makes it easy to watch Netflix, Hulu or other TV subscriptions.
If you enjoy cooking family meals on vacation, you’ll find the kitchen to be one of the better-stocked kitchens available in a rental cabin. The handcrafted dining room table seats 6 to 8, and the kitchen counter has four seats. A four-burner grill just outside the kitchen makes it easy to grill for a crowd.
