Ladybug Cottage, our dog-friendly B&B, was named after our twenty seven year old Quarter Horse that I still ride, has French doors that lead to a spacious covered deck that overlooks one of the horse pastures. The large crown moldings and Dutch baroque chandelier provide an old world charm. It is furnished throughout with antique furniture including part of our antique picture frame collection. There is also satellite television. The floors are tile and covered with oriental area rugs. Fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and mahogany cabinets. The bedroom is furnished with my grandmother’s bedroom furniture and a Simmons queen size Beauty rest mattress for a restful night’s sleep. The doggie traveler isn’t forgotten either, there is a cushy doggie bed too! At the end of the day take a soothing bath in the whirlpool tub and enjoy the sunset from the romantic deck with a view of horses peacefully grazing. You can also see the main house across the pasture. The atmosphere is so serene you feel as though you have left civilization behind, but are only minutes from downtown Landrum and Tryon. This area is in the middle of North and South Carolina’s horse country. We have many different different kinds of horses on the farm. A Percheron French Draft Horse, Paint Horses, Quarter Horses and our 30+ year old Racking Horse.
The first step across the threshold always takes guests by surprise. Laurel Cottage, is our pet-friendly B&B, was named after our youngest son’s first horse, has marvelous large crown moldings and a Dutch baroque chandelier to create an elegant atmosphere. The kitchen has mahogany cabinets and is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and a charming pasture view. The whirlpool tub in the spacious bathroom adds an additional touch of luxury. On your first step outside the door of Laurel Cottage you are greeted with sweeping views of the pastures and the main house. The atmosphere is so serene you feel as though you have left the pressures of the modern world behind you, but you are only minutes from downtown Landrum and Tryon.
The bedroom furniture is part of my grandmother’s bedroom set. There is a queen size Simmons Beauty rest mattress for a restful night’s sleep as well as a very cushy doggie bed. The living room has a satellite television as well as a Simmons Hide-a-Bed for that extra guest. Why stay at a dog-friendly hotel when you can stay at Laurel Cottage?
Located within walking distance of Wildwater Chattooga, this timber frame house has 3 bedrooms with Queen beds and a loft with 2 single beds, sleeps up to 8. Jawbone, (named after “Jawbone” rapid in the famous Five Falls of the Chattooga River Section 4) is perfect for 3 couples or multiple families with kids. Jawbone has a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite counters, 2 bathrooms, washer/dryer, gas fireplace, 3 flat screen TVs with DirecTV, covered outdoor deck, covered front porch and patio with outdoor propane grill. All linens included. Add nearby Corkscrew house if your group has more than 8 Guests. Combined, Corkscrew and Jawbone can accommodate up to 20 Guests.
Jawbone was built with the environment in mind. Superior insulation for a quiet stay, efficient heating and cooling, on demand water heater, fluorescent bulbs used throughout, and the use of environmentally-safe cleaning products are some of the steps we have taken. We also integrated trees leveled from the building site into the construction of the house.

We are a small, family-run Bed & Breakfast-style Rustic Mountain Retreat, designed in the spirit of the Great Lodges of older times and ancient places, nestled deep in the mountains of Southern Appalachia along the North Carolina/ Tennessee border. The name Kana’ti is in honor of the first chief of the first people: The Cherokee and earlier Woodland tribes who, according to archaeological evidence, used this area for thousands of years as a hunting ground for Mammoth, Bison, Elk and Deer migrating up and down the Bald Mountain Ranges as the ice caps retreated northward. The lodge itself is constructed of mostly local materials, many of which were reclaimed from old cabins and barns around the Southern Appalachian region. Every part of the building tells a story – the passing age of tobacco in barn poles and hand-rived stakes, restored windows and doors from a local school, and flooring and siding harvested from our own land.
Our cottages are located off Hwy 356, just 4 miles north of Helen, Georgia and 2 miles from Unicoi State Park and beautiful Anna Ruby Falls. Our convenient location will make your trip to the Northeast Georgia Mountains simple and worry free. All of our cabins feature sparkling clean hot tubs with fresh water for each guest. Our stringent standards drive us to take the extra step to provide clean water with every visit. Our cabins are pristine and cozy. We make every effort possible to provide the best accommodations in the area.
We provide all the fresh linens and towels for your stay. For longer stays, there is the convenience of an on-site washer and dryer. If you don’t feel like preparing your own meals, Hot Springs has several restaurants from very casual to fancy.

From your cabin door, you are only a 45 minute drive to the Biltmore in Asheville, the Blue Ridge Parkway and less than 2 hours from Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
Like the native black bears that frequent the property, our newly built cabins are nestled in the Blue Ridge mountains. Designed with seclusion, and convenient to all of your Western North Carolina mountain adventures. Each cabin is naturally themed and tastefully furnished to reflect its namesake: Sunshine, Moonshade and Rivers Edge. From your private covered porch, you can take in the views of the Blue Ridge mountain range and even a glimpse of the area wildlife. Or take a short walk to the river and enjoy fly fishing.
Our riverfront cabins are family friendly, with one and two bedrooms accommodating up to five guests. Each cabin has ample parking and even a riverside fire pit, picnic and BBQ area.

Where did we get our name? Shortly after the 1800′s there was a drover’s Inn, on this location. With accommodations for travelers and drovers who were using the turnpike. A major route for moving cattle, hogs, turkeys and other commodities from Tennessee and Kentucky to markets in the south, such as Charleston. This location became know as Pleasant Bank Inn, also a loading point for Ottingers Ferry, crossing the river. The old turnpike road is still located were it was 200 years ago along the beautiful river. In this setting you can enjoy the quietness of the countryside and the French Broad River, which is used today for white water rafting in NC. You can often see wildlife such as deer, geese and turkeys, that will some times come into your front yard. We have two great lodging options and can comfortably sleep a total of 8 people. One cabin sleeps six and the other cabin is perfect for two.Today you can enjoy the farm and young orchard along with organic vegetables, and flowers being grown on the family farm. The Cabin at the Swinging Bridge is a charming, three bedroom, and one bath mountain cabin on the South Toe River, in the mountains of Western North Carolina. You’ll enjoy the screened breakfast porch and deck, as well as outdoor activities that are literally in the front yard! The views from this property are inspiring and if you’re into trout fishing you can do it right in the front yard! The South Toe River runs through the property and families love the convenience of fishing and swimming at the cabin. The swinging bridge is only 150 feet away and is always an attraction as well as the deer which come into the yard daily!
