The kitchen is fully equipped to make your meal preparation easy, or you can opt to visit any of our local restaurants.

Where did we get our name? Shortly after the 1800′s there was a drover’s Inn, on this location. With accommodations for travelers and drovers who were using the turnpike. A major route for moving cattle, hogs, turkeys and other commodities from Tennessee and Kentucky to markets in the south, such as Charleston. This location became know as Pleasant Bank Inn, also a loading point for Ottingers Ferry, crossing the river. The old turnpike road is still located were it was 200 years ago along the beautiful river. In this setting you can enjoy the quietness of the countryside and the French Broad River, which is used today for white water rafting in NC. You can often see wildlife such as deer, geese and turkeys, that will some times come into your front yard. We have two great lodging options and can comfortably sleep a total of 8 people. One cabin sleeps six and the other cabin is perfect for two.Today you can enjoy the farm and young orchard along with organic vegetables, and flowers being grown on the family farm. The Sweet Briar Cabin is nestled on an 89-acre farm. The cabin has one cozy bedroom complete with a queen bed. There is a sitting area under a covered deck right through the bedroom’s sliding doors. We are a small, family-run Bed & Breakfast-style Rustic Mountain Retreat, designed in the spirit of the Great Lodges of older times and ancient places, nestled deep in the mountains of Southern Appalachia along the North Carolina/ Tennessee border. The name Kana’ti is in honor of the first chief of the first people: The Cherokee and earlier Woodland tribes who, according to archaeological evidence, used this area for thousands of years as a hunting ground for Mammoth, Bison, Elk and Deer migrating up and down the Bald Mountain Ranges as the ice caps retreated northward. The lodge itself is constructed of mostly local materials, many of which were reclaimed from old cabins and barns around the Southern Appalachian region. Every part of the building tells a story – the passing age of tobacco in barn poles and hand-rived stakes, restored windows and doors from a local school, and flooring and siding harvested from our own land.

Our cottages are located off Hwy 356, just 4 miles north of Helen, Georgia and 2 miles from Unicoi State Park and beautiful Anna Ruby Falls. Our convenient location will make your trip to the Northeast Georgia Mountains simple and worry free. From any of our cabin rentals, you can effortlessly visit Helen, Hiawassee, Dahlonega, Lake Burton, the Appalachian Trail, Brasstown Bald, and many other nearby destinations.
Our cottages will accommodate 2 Adults and up to 2 children. A max of 2 small pets(under 25lbs. each) are allowed-fees apply.

Cabin 1 (Stone Mountain Pilot Lookout) is a small, cozy log cabin featuring stunning views from each room
as well as the front porch and deck. One bedroom and one bathroom. Romantic gas log fireplace for those cool snuggly nights. Window air conditioner is provided but it is not normally needed due to the high elevation and constant breeze coming up the mountain. The kitchen has microwave oven, toaster oven, fridge, two burner counter-top stove, coffee maker, pots, pans, dishes, crock pot and all utensils. Outside there’s a BBQ grill, hammock, hot tub,
rocking chairs and a picnic table. We supply all linens and towels for up to four people.

Unlike most cabins in the area, this cabin is right in Alpine Helen. Located on the Chattahoochee River, it’s just a short walk into downtown Alpine Helen and the Oktoberfest ‘Festhall’. Park your car and walk to town. Finished in the late summer of 2009, this is one of the newest luxury cabins in Helen. For about the same price as a motel suite, you get 2 big bedrooms, living/dining rooms, full kitchen, washer & dryer and two jetted bathtubs. Best of all, you get the privacy and quiet a motel room could never offer. Each bedroom has one queen sized bed and there is a sleeper sofa in the living room, accommodating a total of 6 people. The fully equipped kitchen has solid surface countertops & ceramic tile floors, microwave, and dishwasher. Make Helen Riverside Cabin your luxury ‘base camp’ for exploring all of Northeast Georgia.
What’s in the cabin.: All cooking utensils and linens are provided. All furniture and appliances are brand new. There are jetted bath tubs in each bath with a two person jetted tub in the downstairs bath. The floors in the baths are also ceramic tile. Towels and linens are provided. There is 32′ flat screen TV w DVD player in the living room and a 22′ flat screen TV w DVD player upstairs. Free WiFi service is available.The owners live in Helen, so if there are any problems, we’ll be there to make it right.

Our one bedroom cabins can sleep up to 4 people and our two bedroom/two bathroom cabin can accommodate up to 6 people. Our picnic pavilion and open fire pit area nestled in among the trees offer a great gathering spot for family and friends reunions as well as a cozy experience for two. Mike and Louise Jasmin, the owners, live on the property and are always eager to ensure your comfort and enjoyment. Stop in the office any time for information, a local map or directions. While there, take advantage of our free wireless Internet access, or pick out a complimentary movie, book, or board game to enjoy during your stay.
