Our 6 mountain cabins are nestled on 19+ acres high up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Within walking distance is the New River Trail State Park which offers 57 miles of uninterrupted fun for hiking, bicyling and horseback riding. Closeby attractions include Mabry Mill, the Virginia Creeper Trail, Foster Falls and many other places of interest. Southwest Virginia is a well known capital of old time and bluegrass music with the Galax Fiddler’s Convention being held every August. Hillsville hosts the world’s largest Flea Market on Labor Day Weekend. Our cabins provide the perfect place for a quiet mountain getaway OR a place to come and enjoy a mountain stay with endless possibilities of activities to entertain and occupy the most active person’s lifestyle.

Monday – Hike down from our cabins to the New River State Park Trail…Experience the peaceful song of the river.
Tuesday – Venture out and explore the Virginia Creeper Trail with a 17 mile downhill bike ride from Damascus. Go ziplining!
Wednesday – Tube, kayak or sunbathe and swim in the New River. The parking lot for the New River State Park in Fries is only three miles from our cabins.
Thursday – Go fishing by day and attend the weekly jam session in Fries by night for some flat footing.
Friday – Experience the monthly Cruisin and Groovin in Galax with car and tractor shows and family entertainment.
Saturday – Climb Mt. Rogers…the highest mountain peak in Virginia.

The Nest not only offers Blue Ridge Mountain and Winery views from the home, but also from the patio across the back. Enjoy birds eye views of the lovely hardwoods & evergreens that surround the property. The kitchen has new shadow stone granite counter tops and stainless steel sinks and faucets. The home has it’s own washer and drier for your convenience. The full bathroom also features a new sink and granite vanity counter tops. The Chalet Nest is also equipped with a Flatscreen Smart TV, wifi, Dish cable, a bluetooth ready speaker and a gas stove. Now accepting a small well behaved dog as a guest in the Chalet Nest.
We have two cabins available. Each has 1 bathroom, 1 bedroom with queen size bed and 2 person jacuzzi tub upstairs, sleeper sofa downstairs. Cabins are fully furnished, have central air and heat, fireplace, satellite tv, washer and dryer, and gas grill. Romantic, inviting, and very clean.
So come in. Sit down by the woodburning fire place and watch TV. Or kick back in the jacuzzi tub. Relax on the porch in the rockers as you listen to the peaceful sound of the river. We promise you won’t want to leave. And when you do, you will want to come back.
