The area supports many types of recreation such as rock climbing, caving, hiking, hunting and fishing, skiing, sightseeing, nature study, star gazing, photography, bird watching and enjoying sunsets and cool mountain breezes with a cup of coffee from your deck.

Our cabin is off the beaten path in the quiet village of Durbin which is surrounded by the Monongahela National Forest. Wtih four scenic train rides close by and only 400 yards from the Allegheny Trail, you”ve come to the right place for outdoor wonder. Enjoy fishing, hunting, hiking and cross-country skiing just a short jaunt away. Rates are available by day, week or weekend. Hunters and fishermen are welcome.

Fall Away Fern Cabin provides access to resort amenities! Located in Alpine Lake Resort, this 3-bedroom, 2-bath log cabin with modern conveniences provides access to the lake beach, boat ramps, golf facilities, hiking and cross-country ski trails, and a lodge with an indoor pool and fitness center.
